Greasy Noodle Fingers

By Brandon

When I was very little, my mom got a brand new fridge. I watched in amazement as she peeled off the plastic sheet revealing its true color. The black refrigerator was like a polished slab of obsidian. It was so shiny! What my mom didn’t know was that the obsidian surface soon wouldn’t look so polished.
The next day, my mother came home from work as tired as dog that ran a marathon. Since she was so tired, she decided to order take out from Little Chino’s. She ordered me an amazingly delicious order of fettuccini alfredo, which I enjoyed very much. Once I was done, instead of wasting the remains of this luscious meal by putting it in the fridge, I looked over to the shiny surface of the fridge and decided to give it a beautiful decoration. I started carefully slapping my half eaten dinner onto the now not so shiny face of the fridge. I began making smiley faces and stars.
“Greasy noodle fingers, greasy noodle fingers, greasy noodle fingers,” I started chanting until my mom came in the kitchen to see what was happening. Instead of her being proud of my wonderful artwork she was as mad as a shot bull. Instantaneously I was sent to my room.
At the time, my room had a door that went into my back yard. It was locked to keep me in my room. The lock was up so high that I couldn’t reach it on my tippy toes.  Right then and there the solution hit me. All I had to do was move my bed right to the side of the door, stand on the bed, and unlock the door. It was as simple as that. When I escaped outside, I entered back inside the living room through the main door. That was a mistake because my mom sent me back for more locked-in-bedroom time.
